A portrait of me and my ladies!...you know who you are. It’s a piece of sweet nostalgia as I look back at one of many late nights. What started as a thoughtful plan to spend some time with the girls quickly turned into vodka laced laughter and a fishbowl martini with three straws. However, there is more to it than meets the eye. By the time I made this painting my life was slowing down and I was trying to figure out what made me do the things I’ve done...to myself, in most cases. I have concluded that many people tend to be what we feel those around us need us to be. We don’t want to disappoint. So, we fix our hair, slap on some make-up and go to the party. Still, at the end of the day we go our separate ways. Alone. We are who we are...a bit of a mess.
