My artwork explores the tension between the modern human experience and our primal human nature. I work to expose artificial barriers that falsely segregate civilization from the natural world. Figures emerge and fade, mingling with plants or other organic forms, dissolving the distinction between individual and environment. Interactions between people and animals often become symbolic narratives that reflect contemporary societal issues. As I wrestle with the reality of living in a culture that worships wealth and requires endless consumption to sustain itself, each piece becomes a conflict between the allure and depravity of opulence.
