My artwork explores the tension between the modern human experience and our primal human nature. I work to expose artificial barriers that falsely segregate “civilization” from the natural world. Figures emerge and fade, seamlessly entwined with plants or other organic forms, dissolving the distinction between individual and environment. Intricate patterns and layers harmonize with minimalist spaces, inviting curiosity while preserving a sense of mystery. Within each piece is a conflict between the allure and the depravity of opulence.
